Cowboy Adventure Trail Rides

The Martin Family Ranch is set on acres upon acres of land, and we have a beautiful mixture of pasture and wooded trails. Outside of our grounds we're set in the heart of Chester, NH which boasts miles of open trails, woodlands and pathways.

Every new rider at Martin Family Ranch will be asked to brush and tack up their horse and have a test ride in the arena before heading onto the trails. This ensures your safety and comfort, and let's us assess your experience level before we head out.

We offer half-day and full-day adventures, customizable to your preference and skill-level. Half-day and full-day options include one full meal, at least 2 hours of riding time, and are customizable to your requests. Its not just a trail ride, its an adventure; some guests don't even ride, they split logs, fix fences, clean pastures and corals, practice roping the dummy steers, hose down the horses, do hay runs. Its a day out on the working horse ranch.

Half Day: Select afternoons through Summer and Fall. Includes cowboy breakfast for morning or cowboy lunch for afternoon starts; getting to know your horse, brush and tack up. Arena evaluation for first time cowboys/cowgirls or arena warm up for returning cowboys/cowgirls. Ranch trails begin with, bridge over water crossing, log course, creek cross, creek/river walk, steep hill climb and steep hill decent, forest trail. 2 hours on horse back is expected. Starting at $315 per person.

Full Day: Morning starts with getting to know your horse, brush and tack up. Arena evaluation for first time cowboys/cowgirls or arena warm up for returning cowboys/cowgirls. Ranch trails begin with, bridge over water crossing, log course, creek cross, creek/river walk, steep hill climb and steep hill decent, forest trail. Then an afternoon off ranch trail ride. This will include some road riding, wood trails, steep rocky areas, river/ pond crossing, walk, trot, lope and gallop depending on trails taken by lead cowboy or lead cowgirl. Starting at $523 per person.
